Return policy
1. General Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, the item must meet the following conditions:

Returned within 7 days of delivery or in-store purchase.

Item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.

All seals, labels, stickers, and plastic wrapping must be intact.

Proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, or order confirmation) must be provided.
Important:
For health and hygiene reasons, opened or used K-Beauty products cannot be returned, unless defective.
2. Categories of Returns
2.1. Returns for Change of Mind
(Allowed under store policy, not required by law)
We accept change-of-mind returns for eligible products, provided they meet the general return conditions above.
Refunds for change-of-mind returns will be issued as:

Store credit, or
-
Exchange, depending on customer preference.
Cash refunds are not offered for change-of-mind returns.
2.2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, please notify us within:

7 days for online purchases
-
48 hours for in-store purchases
We will assess the defect in accordance with the CPA and offer one of the following remedies:

Replacement with the same product
-
Exchange for another product of equal value
-
Full refund to the original payment method
-
Store credit (if preferred)
What qualifies as a defect under the CPA?
A defect includes:

Product that is unsafe or hazardous
-
Product that fails to perform as intended
-
Manufacturing faults
-
Product damaged prior to delivery
Normal wear and tear, customer misuse, or damage caused after delivery is not considered a defect.
2.3. Non-Returnable Items
Due to hygiene, licensing, and copyright restrictions, the following items cannot be returned unless defective:

Opened or used skincare, cosmetics, and beauty products
-
Makeup and personal care items
-
K-Pop albums that have had their plastic seal removed
-
Photocards, posters, limited edition items, or collectibles that have been opened
-
Digital products or downloadable content
3. Online Orders: Cooling-Off Period (ECTA)
Under Section 44 of the ECTA, online customers are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period after receiving goods.
During this period, you may cancel your order and return the item at your own cost, provided the goods are:

Unopened
-
Unused
-
In original, resaleable condition
A full refund will be issued within 10 business days of receiving the returned product.
4. Exchanges
Exchanges are subject to stock availability at the time of request.
If the requested item is unavailable:

We will offer store credit, or
-
A refund (if applicable)
5. Return Shipping (Online Orders)
5.1. For defective / incorrect items:
Kimchi Davinci covers all return shipping costs.
5.2. For change-of-mind or cooling-off returns:
The customer is responsible for:

Return courier fees
-
Ensuring the item is securely packaged
We recommend using a trackable courier service.
Kimchi Davinci is not liable for items lost during return transit.
6. Refund Processing Time
Once your return is approved and processed:

Refunds will be issued within 10 business days.
-
Refund method will match the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.

For card refunds, processing times may depend on your bank.
7. In-Store Returns vs. Online Returns

Online purchases must be returned via our online returns procedure.

In-store purchases must be returned to the store with the physical receipt.
-
Online orders may be returned in-store provided all return conditions are met.
8. Pre-Orders, Limited Editions, and Collectibles
K-Pop album pre-orders, special editions, merchandise, and limited-edition items are final sale unless defective. Manufacturing variations (e.g., photocard distribution) are not considered defects and cannot be returned.
9. Sale and Promotional Items

Sale items may only be returned if defective.

No refunds or exchanges on clearance items unless required under the CPA.
